HISTORY

Big Apple International (Thailand) Co was recently set up with a registered capital of 1 million baht and is 51% Thai-owned. The remaining 49% is held by Big Apple Interasia Co of Malaysia.
The first Bapple Donuts & Coffee shop cost 30 million baht and will open on the fourth floor of Siam Center. A second will open at Seacon Square next month."With over 45 years as doughnut experts we are confident that Bapple Donuts will get a warm response from Thais. We have special recipes that maintain softness and our products have lower calories than other brands," said Derek Taylor, the American doughnut master who created Bapple's recipes.Mike Chan, managing director of Big Apple Interasia, said the company planned to open 30-40 Bapple Donut & Coffee outlets in Thailand over the next three to five years. Each requires an investment of 10 million baht.
